I'm currently sitting in the car, waiting for mum, as she drops her poorly car off at the garage. So this blog post, long overdue, will be as long as she takes. Not long, I'd wager.
Haven't been on here for a while, I think the random comment from an observer I don't know talking about the state of Dxb in a comment on a post about my holiday plans, somewhat freaked me out.
(Snow Patrol just came on the radio, and although I know it's massively overplayed and commercial, I love this tune)
Dxb is a funny place at the moment. Massive air of foreboding, as the number of people I know losing their jobs steadily climbs, and speculation about falling rents and collapsing ecomomies, mounts.
