Camel polo is officially very slow. The ball is the size of a football, and basically the guys drag the camels after it, as they look around the pitch lazily with expressions of distaste.
Fortunately, there was an open bar to keep us amused..... which was comprehensively tackled by our boot camp boys who were highly amusing under the influence. Apparently ex-Aussie SAS types are also highly accomplished dancers, lots of the twirling and tipping back type manoevres going on. Wasn't complaining at all.
Corey & Guillame being scary instructor types....
We were all set to head out for Simon's birthday but ended up staying on the Terrace at the polo club - they'd got a DJ in, and we finally trooped home in the small hours. I then decided that helena and simon had dropped me off on the wrong street, and stalked off away from my building, forcing them to chase me down the road in farcial manner. The bizarre thing is, I remember the whole night, including this part, very clearly, and have absolutely no clue why I took it in to my head they were out to decieve me. Very bizarre.... anyway, am in the office which is the wrong place to be today, so am going to rectify this immediately.
