all is well with the world

am currently sitting in the corner of Bert's cafe, getting further and further in to the corner of a squishy leather sofa and reading magazines, while lakshmi checks emails and reassures colleagues in london that yes, she is in fact hard at work. She's over on a visa mission, and rather than take time off is chilling with folk like me and just emailing, proving once and for all that my office is no barrier to me taking a month off and buggering off to wherever i like, with absolutely no impact on business. Convincing others of this might take some time. Jamie Cullem is on the stereo, the ridiculous humidity outside should start to abate in the next hour or so, and the ridiculous business of weekend fun will reconvene.
