Five minutes of downtime

Hilarious clip of Little Richard on new Celebrity Duets (even the name of the show sounds dreadful)... the man has got to be on drugs.

It seems Dubai has woken back up after the summer. 8million people on the road to work this morning and last night it took forever to get home in a cab driven by a lunatic with road rage. My car is still marooned in the shop as we're arguing over the cost of fixing a scratch, but as the prentals are now home my free replacement vehicles are no longer available... terribly pesky of them to demand their transport back. Great to have them back though it has prompted me to start househunting again for the eight millionth time.

Still tired from the weekend but things are looking up - sailing starts this friday, DJ Cheddar has announced the next installment of Edam at Malecon this friday, planning thailand for Eid, weddings for Christmas and again in March... milestone-tastic.

Just been to visit my buddy PeterK's blog, which is all new and green and shiny, and he mentions the Tufty Club which then links to another site, and brought a large smile to my face. Basically my uncle christened my brother the founding member of a whole different Tufty Club when Sproglet1 wondered aloud about how to differentiate between sexes of cows, coming to the conclusion that it is directly linked to the tuft of hair that pokes out of their underbellies. This was many years ago mind. Anyway, it turned in to one of those family tales which has lasted to this day, and always makes me smile. Quite random to find there was an actual club, though I assume my uncle knew that and that was a part of the joke that I completely missed!

Now back to the grindstone...
