inoffensive day

Ramadan Kareem all. And hip hip hooray for Ramadan hours, and the wonders of a 9-4pm working day.

Had a nice slow yet effective day today, well, so far. Pinged off a million chasing emails, which always makes me feel efficient, though i'm not really being, and staffed an interview, which was ok. Met with the lovely folk from RiotArt who are going to take my graffiti pics from Lisbon and make them into canvas' - they had some really nice ideas of what they could do with them, and how they would look good. Now must get a flat so i have some wall space to hang said pictures. They're going to do a long thin landscape shot of newborough, and another long thin landscape shape with three banksy chimps on it, then maybe two long vertical ones with banksy figures. We'll see how the mock ups come out.

Weekend was manic, in keeping with all my weekends for a while... am wondering when the planets will click back into alignment and give me a bit of a breather. Already this week I'm out tonight, wed, thurs and sat, plus sailing on friday, which will be exhausting as we've got some visiting spanish bod who's going to take us out in the morning before the race for training. I'm covered in bruises from last sodding friday, but it was a great sail. Apart from the moment when the skipper asked me to point to the next mark and i chose the wrong one. Perhaps that's why we came second from last? Snowboarding tonight on my eternal quest to keep active, i think it may just result in more bruises but c'est la vie. Going for pizza in Apres afterwards, which I'm looking forward to almost more than the boarding. Missed the zapcat launch in there last week, must remember to beg forgiveness from the organizers so they don't shunt me from their invite list.

And with that, i'm off home - at the stupendous hour of 4.25pm, meaning i have worked 25 minutes overtime, and am swanning off before iftar (the breaking of the fast) and the resultant traffic nightmare of undernourished muslims tearing home to pray and get stuck in to their first meal of the day. Tragically, every year, 5.30pm becomes busy season for the air ambulance and hospitals as traffic accidents soar. As Allah smiles on those who die during the Holy Month it's not too tragic for them, its us infidels who get in the way who are buggered. Get thee to the mosque on time.
